Lego has appointed Ben Fogle as its first celebrity brand ambassador. The presenter and adventurer will become the face of Lego’s toy ranges in the UK and front what it claims is its biggest campaign to date.
The new social media campaign called ‘The Great Forest Escape’ will promote the toymaker’s range of Forest Police products. Led by media agency Carat, the campaign will invite parents and children to submit Forest Police-inspired Lego builds and artwork via Facebook from 30 April.
All entrants will be entered into a daily prize draw to win the Forest Police products. They will also be entered into a grand prize draw with the chance to win one of 15 family weekend breaks at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester with Fogle.
Laura Di Bonaventura, senior brand manager at Lego UK, said, “This is the biggest campaign in history for the Lego City brand. The new Forest Police range opens up a spectrum of new settings, allowing us to take the brand’s story line from its everyday classic setting to even more adventurous experiences in the forest.”
