Dublin Web Summit 2012

As those of you who follow me on Twitter know, I was one of the lucky chosen few selected to blog/tweet for Dublin Web Summit’s Live Team this year on the 17th & 18th October 2012.

I had a great time at the events and have so many great quotes, some superb content and great interviews to go up on the blog.

As I work in PR, I requested covering the Digital Stage as there is huge cross over between digital and PR, but, I was also lucky enough to catch some of the main stage talks.

The talks I had the pleasure of attending included Joshua March of Conversocial, Hubert Grealish of Diageo, Niall Harbison of Simply Zesty, Stephen O’ Leary of O’Leary Analytics, Jon Myers of Marin Software, Silje Vallestad of Bipper, Alexis Dormandy of Love This, Omid Ashtari of Foursquare, Bas Van Den Beld of State of Search, Ryan Holmes of Hoot Suite, Maya Baratz of ABC News, Jan Rezab of Social Bakers, Dharmesh Shah of Hub Spot, Cindy Gallop of Make Love Not Porn, Barry Sonnenfeld, Director of Men in Black, Get Shorty etc,  Michael Acton Smith of Mind Candy, Wael Ghonim, an Internet Activist involved in the Egyptian Revolution, and Baratunde Thurston, all round comic genius and founder of Jack and Jill Politics and Cultivated Wit.

I also attended some of the pitches for the Electric Ireland Spark of Genius Competition.

As you can see above, I had a pretty packed two days, so expect to see plenty of content over the coming weeks…

I’d also like to say a big thanks to my clients at The Keogh Partnership, Toshiba and HTC.

Toshiba very kindly lent me a beautiful laptop to take notes…

I also tweeted from my trusty HTC One S which I find to be quicker than real life itself, so much so that I can quote David Beska…

So to sum up, a great couple of days were had at Web Summit, I only wish it was a couple of days longer… So I leave you with one of the stars of the show, Titan the Robot,  incidentally filmed also filmed on a HTC One S (Darragh Doyle’s to be precise)…

Love Niamh x
