Barry’s Tea released the iconic ‘Your Tea’ advertising campaign in 2011, a campaign that sent Irish tea fans into a tizzy as they saw their names on bill boards and bus stops emblazoned across the flagship Gold Blend box.
The Barry’s Tea Facebook and Twitter pages were swarmed with questions from tea lovers on how to get their own box of Barry’s Tea Gold Blend. To answer these calls Barry’s Tea created the ‘Your Name, Your Tea’ app. The app, which lives on the 90K strong Facebook page, gives tea fans the chance to see their name on a box of Barry’s Tea and as of July 2012 also offers tea fans the chance to actually create their own, real life box!
I love a good interactive campaign which not only integrates social media and advertising creative but also gets the consumer talking about the brand and product!
