ISPAI  has an intern opportunity for a graduate / postgraduate wishing to gain experience within an industry lobbying organisation.


The role involves assisting ISPAI staff to develop policy and PR relating to legislative and self-regulatory initiatives that impact on the Internet environment.


ISPAI works at a national level liaising with our members, government and NGOs but coordinates efforts closely with our European counterparts in Brussels (www.euroispa.org). The role may involve some travel for which full expenses are paid.


This internship has been made possible by the FÁS Jobbridge scheme and applicants must comply with the requirements of the scheme.

Public Relations/Marketing Intern

February – August 2013


The Dublin Theatre Company


The Dublin Theatre Company is seeking an intern to assist in the media relations and promotion of a new Summer Theatre Programme to be held in The Back Loft, Thomas Street.  This is a unique learning experience for the right candidate.


The successful intern will work directly over the period with the well known Artistic Director, Ronan Wilmot and with Ita Gibney, Managing Director of the reputable Gibney Communications pr agency.


The project will involve planning and implementing the pr and marketing programme for a new theatre initiative, The Back Loft Summer Stage which will feature a play, “Mr Joyce is Leaving Paris”.  The intern will over time become the PRO for the project.


The internship  will develop skills in the following areas;


Project Management

Media Relations


Event management

Press receptions

Box Office Management

Direct Mail

PR Strategy

Stakeholder relations

Marketing Communications

Facebook & Social media


The hours are flexible but will be intensive in the period February to May.
Interested candidates should have a love of the theatre and a keen interest in developing a career in public relations.   A track record of working in a customer relations environment would be an asset.
