I came across this funny little comic strip this afternoon while reading up on social media trends. Although it is referring to interns communicating on behalf of the company on social media sites, the concept made me think.
I once heard a business professional say that it would be wiser to teach someone who has been with the company for a long period of time to communicate and connect with target audiences via social media rather than turing a brand-new employee and turning them loose to tweet and post whatever they choose, simply because they are young and understand how to post a tweet or a status update.
I think he may have been on to something.
